[ For all the time Kara spends in her room, she spends at least an equal amount of time in the Enclosure, soaking up the sun and enjoying the sights. She's very content these days, satisfied with the friends she's made on the barge and the progress Kyle has made toward graduation. Some day soon she will be able to return home, she can feel it.

Those who frequent the pub know where to find their bouncer and amateur drink mixer. She is merciless with troublemakers and any who aren't supposed to be drinking. She can still be found in the library as well, continuing her studies of Terran medicine as well as that of other species. She's always been passionate about learning: it's as natural to her as breathing.

If she's been having bad dreams, it doesn't seem to have dented her mood yet. ]

"That is how humans work, trial and error. For the exparaments life expectancy has doubled in the last century. "

He explained as he sat down the books looking over the page she was on. "I am curious why medicine?"

She held it out so that it was easier for him to see.

"It's just something I'm interested in. People have been teaching me to help out in the infirmary, but I want to learn more. With my powers, there's a lot of good I could do."

He looked it over casually. Nodding when she explained he nodded some.

"I see." He felt bad for her. That dream was much too vivid. The poor woman deserved better. His thoughts lingering on the dream a moment.

"That makes sense I suppose. But, will it make you happy?"

She glanced up at him, briefly confused. She didn't understand the look on his face.

"It's something I enjoy. Why?"

He stood back to full height hands going behind his back. He wasn't sure she understood.

"Are you certain? A lot of people choose medine and become cynical. I just wonder if you have truely put thought into what makes Kara happy, over what makes Supergirl feel good."

Now she frowns outright, marking her page with one finger and closing the book.

"You've never called me Supergirl. What's wrong?"

"It is your title is it not?" He asked seeing the frown. No that was not what he wanted. "It is merely a question, nothing is wrong."/He was well versed in lying its just how he does.

"It's a name that Terrans gave me. I never wanted it." She wanted it less now, having experienced her mirror self who took such twisted pleasure in the name.

"They always give us names. It helps them separate us from them. It should be a pride." Did she ever tell him that name? Likely not.

If she had ever mentioned it, it was only briefly. She really preferred people use her actual name. Not in the least because -

"I don't want to be separate."

"You are young, your mind may change one day when anonity is wanted. If you have a family you won't want them hurt by your choice occupation." Like Nero nearly was. He thought of his son a moment. Looking to Kara he decided to come clean.

"I had a dream about you. I know it wasnyou because you told me the tale of the man who used you and how you stabbed him. It was vivid."

She was still confused for a good long couple of seconds. Understanding dawned clearly on her face, followed by horror, dismay, then guilt. She turned away from him.

"Oh."

He watched her before shaking his head some. "Stop, whatever your thinking just stop. You did what was best for your world. A chance to save the world does not come everyday, savior it. Pain will pass and you will find a worthy love one day. Just keep your hope. Your cause was noble even if their was deception in the means."

The look she gave him revealed every hour of her youth, all of the uncertainty that H'El made her feel when he betrayed her. Her voice is hushed, eyes watery. This question is both difficult and vital for her to ask.

"Am I making the same mistake?" Not about love, certainly, but about her home. It's a fear that's plagued her for a long time.

Oh and he can see it. The poor girl never stood a chance. He knew he could use her too if he truly wanted. However, he had no reason too.

"No, with the Admirals magic no one will be hurt. You are on the path of light. You will do fine Kara. Just watch carefully from here on out. Villiany wears many masks none so cunning as the face of a friend or lover. Always take heed I n these matters." He felt like Sparda. The wise old man spouting advice that sounds too easy.

She flushes slightly and chews her lower lip. Yes, she is well aware of how easily it is for terrible people to pretend to be kind. She likes to think that she's learning from these things, but it takes time.

"I will."

And she has a half demon who will snap someone's neck if he so much as suspects someone trying to hurt the baby powerhouse. He nodded some and actually ruffled her hair some. Lifting the books back under one arm.

"I'd best get back to work I suppose. Take care."

The blush doesn't leave her face, on account of how surprising it is that he would be fond enough of her to ruffle her hair. Her mind catches up to her after a moment and she straightens the mess he made.

She doesn't know what to say to him until he's gone.
