It seems like I missed a lot while I was sleeping. Was there a flood?

[ She may have been passed out for a few days, according to her communicator, but she recovers quickly and feels fresh as Kryptonian daisies now. These comas may be weird, but she doubts they actually harm her superhuman physiology. ]

Are all of my friends still here? Nobody left while I was out, did they? And what's this I'm hearing about upcoming holidays? Is it an Earth one, or something else?

You hollow it out and carve faces into it, and use it as a lantern. It's a grand old time, they say.

Is that some sort of fruit? [ It kinda looks like a fruit, but if you can use it as a lantern it must be pretty big. ]

It's a gourd. You know what those are?

I do, actually! I didn't realize you had those. Do you eat them?

[silvestris]

In the most delightful ways. When they aren't lighting our porches for kids, we mash them into pies, or boil them into soups. You'd love it.

...You really don't have holidays? Are you a Jehovah's Witness?

[notdreaming]

Oh, we have plenty of holidays. I'm not sure when they are in comparison to Earth's calendar, since the orbit and rotation are different... [ But seasons, that's a thing, so she can kinda guess? ]

Do Jehovah's Witnesses not celebrate anything?

[silvestris]

Oh that was a joke. But no. Now tell me about your holidays, sweetie, I want to compare notes.

There's Remembrance Day, the Day of Truth, Graduation Day may as well be a holiday... there are a lot of them. [ But those are the only two with any official information whoops ]

Those all sound painfully political. What do you do to celebrate them, recite poems about justice?

[notdreaming]

Um. Party? Fireworks? You know, holiday stuff.

[silvestris]

That's a relief. This holiday has costumes and candy...you like a little dress up?

[notdreaming]

That depends. What sort of costumes are we talking about?

[silvestris]

I never put one on, but other people dress as celebrities, as food, as animals.... really anything so long as it isn't them.

[notdreaming]

Food? [ That earns a bright laugh. ] That actually sounds kind of fun. Can you pick anything? It doesn't have to have some symbolism?

[silvestris]

Whatever your heart desires. But I find myself curious as to what you're thinking of doing.

[notdreaming]

I don't have anything in mind, just yet... Where would we get costumes? Will we be taking port?

[silvestris]

You'd have to ask the Admiral...he might even answer you, what with you being a Warden and all. Otherwise we'll just have to make our own.

[notdreaming]

Well, I guess it's worth a try. If you want I could ask him for a costume for you, too.

[silvestris]

Costumes are a hard thing for me. I'm in one all the time, anymore...or it feels like I am. I don't even know what else I'd want to be.

What about, like, a hamburger? That would be a funny costume.

I think you should do it. Hell, maybe I'll break down and be a bottle of Mustard...we could start a theme.

[Probably not because she hates costumes ignore the fact she practically lives in a cat suit. But Kara is kind of adorable.]

I'll do it if you do it. [ More likely, there are a number of Kryptonian heroes she could dress up as. ]
