[ Kara has been waffling over this decision for weeks. But she's been here six months now without an inmate, and she has to make herself useful somehow. How better than by sharing the rich knowledge of her most basic education? ]

If there's interest, I think I'd like to teach a class on basic scientific principles across the worlds. I've been doing some research, and it seems that for the most part the basics really are the same universally.

I can teach you about any subject matter that isn't considered specialty, but I know that what's considered 'basic' is probably different in each culture, so I was going to start with chemistry, biology and physics.

[ And now, having passed through the planned parts of her speech, Kara's anxiety begins to show. But mooooooom, what if they don't like me? ]

I know there's at least one person who's interested in learning.

There has to be someone else, doesn't there?

I think that is a wonderful idea. This place does offer a wonderful opportunity for learning things like that.

I think I might know of someone. I doubt she'll be interested, but I imagine an education wouldn't do her much harm.
