[ Kara's been sick. Which is very strange for two reasons, the first of which being Kryptonians don't get sick, it's been essentially bred out of them. The second is that she's gotten plenty of sunlight and really ought to be invulnerable, with no need for food, drink or sleep.

Neither of these things seems to stop her from slumping over suddenly all over the barge for apparently no reason, fast asleep. Most of the time she doesn't even fall, just sort of floats unconscious in the hallway. It's especially annoying because once she wakes up she can't remember what she was doing before she fell asleep. ]

[ It's especially dangerous because, sick and suffering from night terrors as she is, she really should be sleeping in a contained area. Bad things happen when Kara loses control of her powers. Explosively bad things, like the flash of sunlight radiating from her body up on deck warns against.

The video turns on a moment before the communicator hits the ground. She tried to keep a hold of it, but the buttons started to melt. She's terrified, and though the feeling of burning up from the inside is a component she really doesn't know why.

There's a burst of light and heat like a solar flare and she screams in pain. When it stops the glow has dimmed a bit, but she hugs herself tight like she's still in pain. ]

I need help, please, Rao, help me!

[ She needs to be someplace where she can't hurt anyone by accidentally exploding. Luckily right now she's high enough above deck to avoid incinerating any bystanders. Anybody got Kryptonite? ]

[ Bruce is green, but he's not kryptonite. The surge of power from his transformation gets him moving in a way he hasn't been able to for the past few days, but in the end he's banging up the stairwell (and bending it out of place again) to get to the deck...

...and is not entirely in his right mind. ]

KARA!

[He can't be hurt-- well, not in any way that'll matter long term, so he leaps for her, like some sort of shrunken, green King Kong. ]

Need Zero?

[ It'll at least turn her powers off... and he can get her there if nobody minds melting and bent stairwells. ]

[ Being slammed into by a Hulk is not an entirely pleasant experience, whether or not you're actually hurt by the impact. It's surprise that makes her lose a few feet of air, and then it's back to totally unreasoned terror again. She's about as much in her right mind as he is at the moment. ]

Bruce? Bruce I need to get away.

[ That's a yes on Zero, in exploding-Kryptonian-talk, even if she is gaining altitude again. ]

[ We're very sorry, Kara, but you're going to be tucked under one arm and carried like a burning, unhappy football for the duration of this tag. ]

[ Bruce translates terror talk to 'yes, Zero', and is soon banging his mammoth bulk into the stairwell, down the stairwell, all the way past level eight and into a cell with a flaming hot Kryptonian under one arm. ]

[ He'll have no hair on one side of his body from the waist up, but he'll survive the experience. Sure, he's bellowing like a silverback gorilla, and the whole ship knows that something just went horribly wrong, but eventually he's blasting past the unlucky people on rota for Zero level today and going into the largest, furthest back cell. ]

[ His powers snuff as he crosses the threshold, and it's a much lighter man that bounces off the wall at the other end, still half-holding kara at that point. Much less hirsute than he was when he got up this morning, Bruce doesn't say anything. Doesn't do anything. ]

[ He just lays in a heap in a Zero cell as the door clicks shut behind him, one arm around Kara. ]

[ Given her indestructible cape, football is probably the best way to play this regardless. She tries very very hard to stop freaking out the entire way down, and doesn't really succeed until she's lying stunned on the floor of a cell in Zero, Bruce half on top of her.

It's a lot like having the wind knocked out of you. The heat is gone, replaced by the cold tile under her and a terrible ache in her head. She's still feeling anxious, but it's muted now by the bizarre last few minutes. She doesn't move or say anything for a good while either. ]

[Iris was on her way up to the deck to see what she could do; it's a good thing she's been training because Bruce almost runs her down on his way to Zero. She's never had to duck and roll out of the way of anything so fast before.

Once her vision clears and she's put out the smouldering patch on her lab coat, she calls Kara.]

...Kara? What the bloody 'ell just 'appened?

I, um... [ she blew up what does it look like happened ] it's kind of hard to explain? I think Bruce is unconscious. Can you call a doctor down to Zero, please?

[ She really really really hopes she didn't do any serious damage. ]
